Coming from a multi-ethnic background, I'm especially attuned to the complexity of holding multiple identities at once, and the ways belonging can feel both meaningful and complicated. Many of the people I work with are carrying experiences that didn't begin with them, but still show up in their relationships, their choices, and their sense of self.

I tend to work with people who are used to holding things together. Often for a long time, and often without much space for themselves. People who are thoughtful, aware, and able to read others easily, but who don't always feel as clear or grounded within themselves.

They've learned how to adapt in relationships, in family systems, or across different environments in order to stay connected.

I don’t see what you’re going through as something that needs to be fixed, but as patterns that made sense in the environments you’ve been part of.

My work is grounded in a relational, trauma-informed, and systems-aware perspective. In our work together, we'll pay attention not just to what's happening in your life now, but to the relationships, expectations, and experiences that have shaped how you move through the world.

HOW I UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU'RE GOING THROUGH

Many of the people I work with come in feeling like something is wrong with them.

They tell themselves they're too sensitive.
That they should be over things by now.
That they're anxious for no real reason.

I don’t see it that way.

I'm more interested in understanding where these patterns come from, what’s shaped them, and what those patterns may have been trying to protect.

In therapy, it's easy to move quickly into coping strategies or solutions. While those can be helpful, I don't believe in skipping over the deeper context. I tend to slow things down so we can look more closely at patterns within your relationships, your family, and the environments you've been surrounded by.

What gets called anxiety or depression often has a story behind it.

Many of the symptoms you carry may have served a purpose at some point. They may have helped you stay connected, cope, or get through something difficult. Over time, they can start to feel limiting or out of place. That's where our work comes in.

A scenic coastal landscape with a narrow dirt path winding through wildflowers and shrubs along a cliffside, overlooking the ocean with rocky outcroppings and distant hills under a partly cloudy sky.

WHAT IT FEELS LIKE TO WORK TOGETHER

In sessions, people often find themselves feeling more at ease than they expected.

You can slow down. You don't have to hold everything together in the same way.

You can speak more openly, without worrying about being judged or misunderstood.

You can feel safe being honest, even about things that are difficult to put into words.

I tend to remember the details that matter, so you don't have to keep starting over or re-explaining yourself.

My approach is gentle, thoughtful, and attuned. I'll meet you where you are, and we'll move at a pace that feels steady and manageable, while still allowing space to understand yourself deeper when it feels right.

WHO THIS WORK IS FOR

This tends to resonate with people who are used to holding everything together, but don’t always feel like themselves.

Adult children of immigrants
Emotionally complex upbringings
Couples reconnecting with themselves and each other
Teens navigating identity & anxiety
Parents understanding & connecting with their kids

Many are navigating the impact of family dynamics, cultural expectations, or early relational patterns that continue to shape how they move through the world.

This can include people who grew up in emotionally complex or inconsistent environments, or those beginning to recognize the impact of experiences that were never fully named.

This work tends to be a good fit for people who are curious about themselves and open to slowing things down.

I also love working with couples who care deeply about each other but have lost a sense of themselves along the way often in multicultural relationships, where differences in identity and background add another layer to navigate.

I work with teens navigating anxiety, identity, and the pressure to belong, as well as parents who want support in understanding and connecting more intentionally with their children.

My approach is gentle and exploratory, and focuses on understanding patterns over time rather than rushing toward quick solutions.

There are some areas that may be better supported with a more specialized approach. In those cases, I’m always happy to help connect you with someone who may be a better fit.
